Character Strengths and the Six Core Virtues

The twenty-four Character Strengths from the Values in Action Survey (you did take the survey right?  It’s free!  If not, click here and do it now.) map onto the six core values that Dr. Seligman and colleagues identified.  Look at the chart below and see how your strengths point to your virtue.

You will likely find that your top strengths do not all match to one virtue.  That does not mean you failed the test; it just means you are human.  As a human, you are a complex cosmos all your own.  Embrace the unique results that make you the one of a kind person you are.  Remember, you are likely to get better results for your effort by building on your strengths rather than trying to “correct” your “weaknesses.”
